Strider Bike Review

Time flies!! I talk about this often because it is a little HARD FACT! Back in May we celebrated Starr turning ONE and Grayson turning THREE...or into another being entirely, if I am being honest! I had posted about a gift that G-Man received but never gave insight to what it was.

I received, courtesy of Strider bikes, this awesome Strider Sport bike!! Grayson was so excited to get this!! My risk taker immediately wanted to give it a try. So we did! Multiple times.
look at that proud stance!
Things I love about these bikes:

1- they are not this bulky and heavy piece of metal contraption to lug around
As a mama, I have enough toting and am turned off against having to lug anything else. With the strider bike I simply can carry it one handed or even place it on my stroller when G-man takes a break.

2- this bike is a perfect training bike.

What is the number one thing that little ones  struggle with while learning to bike ride?
Balance.....(Tell them what they've won Bob!)
This bike is geared to that problem. It makes it simple and fun so that balance is no longer a crutch!! Once your little one learns how to balance and maneuver the handle bar he/she will be off. The pedaling is almost second nature and will become much easier once the balance is down.
So Focused
3- It is easy to put together. I think it took my husband all of 5 minutes.

Hands down this bike is genius! It helps littles build confidence to go out and conquer the world one bike at a time. Starting with Strider they gain the confidence and skill to ride a bike naturally and with control. All with BALANCE. This bike allows them to be in control of the bike verses the bike controlling them which in return causes unnecessary fear. They can balance down hills, cruise down the walking path or even jump and twist if a little adventurous. They are in control and littles LOVE this feeling!! Just think about all the things that are out of their control. This gives them something that is entirely theirs. A feeling of confidence, adrenaline, thrill, excitement, feeling proud and having fun!
Going Up......
About to head down.....
Down..Down...Down
And Again! Heading up the hill!
Grayson LOVES  this bike! He has rode on the sidewalk, around our parking lot, in the back grassy field, up hills/down hills and on dirt paths. He loves it. He has fallen but that has never kept him from getting back on the bike.

I am confident my youngest, Starr, will love this bike just as much!!

In my book, strider has is right! Learn to Stride and learn to ride!

Strider offers many different color options ranging from blue, green, red and pink to yellow, silver and orange in certain bikes. You could even customize your Strider bike to make it extra special for your little one.

Strider offers three main groups of bikes based on age ranging from 18 months - 5 Years, 6-12 years and 13 and up!  They offer a classic , sport, pro and custom bike which have varying specs like non padded seats to padded, handlebar mini-grips and front plate etc. They sell accessories, replacement items, specialty items, apparel and safety gear along with their awesome bikes. Prices range from $89-$169, which is reasonable in my book.

You can check out all of their information at the website  http://www.striderbikes.com/

*I was fortunate to receive a Strider Bike to facilitate a product review on the Strider Sport. I received no compensation. Review and opinions are entirely my own. Just keeping it real and honest.

Potty Training - Milestone or Nightmare

Don't let this sweet face fool you!
I am wondering whether Potty training is supposed to be a great achievement or just a big test of Mommie's Patience! G-man is now on day 5 of "Potty Training."  He really has the lead on this because I have not ever wanted to force this on him, just my preference. G-man has always been the type of baby/toddler to do each milestone step his way and when he is darn ready! He came home early one day after playing at the park (He must have been almost 2 or shortly thereafter). I thought, Wow! He is really doing this whole potty training thing early. This should be a breeze!

HA! BIG FAT HAIRY NASTY ANNOYING HA!!!

Ever since that out of the blue day of G-Man using the potty on his own accord. I prepared. We switched from diapers to pull ups. We purchased a trainer seat for our toilet and a little potty, fit for him, to keep in the bathroom. I read all the do's and dont's. Then, I just let him take the lead. Well, at that time he must have just been experimenting because he was not ready.

Now flash ahead a year and a few months. Last week he decided he wanted to wear his big boy underwear (stocked from a year ago). He woke up last Thursday morning and protested that he was ready to wear Big Boy Underwear! So, I happily obliged thinking to myself, "Thank goodness! He will not be the lone 3 year old still in pull ups when he begins in his 3's class this upcoming school year." AND "One down. One to go!"
So, I hid the few pull ups we had left in our closet and we began this exciting new adventure and milestone. For the first 3 days he did amazing! Only having an actual true accident one to two times tops. Also, he was out of the house for very long periods of time and didn't have any accidents while out. BUT THEN.............................. here stroll days 4 and 5 (today). He used the potty but more than not decided to pee all over the house. Then proceeded to take a dump on the floor. Now, I know that I am not supposed to get angry because then he will start to feel pressure and inadequate/discouraged etc. SOOOOOOOOOO.
Like the commercials you see on t.v. G-Man will say, "Mommy, I went Pee Pee (or Poopy)~!"
I reply after noticing where, "Oh. Okay. Let's clean up and get you new Big Boy Underwear." I am always calm and non reactionary about it. Even when he quite intentionally pulled off his pants and popped a squat on our bedroom floor to take a dump ...seconds after I had already asked if he needed to use the potty! I have not yelled or screamed even after walking into our bedroom to find him in our closet, standing, taking aim and pissing all over the floor stating with giggles , "Mommy I went Pee Pee!" I have not been angry with him even after I will ask if he needs to go potty and I know he does but he will tell me no then proceed to whichever part of the house he deems fit and pee all over.

So can someone please tell me where is the line between accidental and purposeful when it relates to potty training?  How long before the piss and crap all over the place "stage" becomes less entertaining for him and the regimen of "normal" potty antics take place again? I quite literally have a rag and a cleaner attached to my hip.

Happy Monday!!!

Grayson is now 3!

Gazing out the train window
G-Man turned 3 on Sunday!! Though, we celebrated his birthday a week earlier with Starr's 1st Birthday this last weekend was still crazy full. We started Friday night out with dinner and cake at my sister in laws house to celebrate her kids graduating elementary, 2nd grade and preschool. Grayson LOVES his cousins so he had a blast running ramped until well after his bed time!

A little Ping Pong at his Cousins house
Saturday, we decided to take the Tri-Rail for a ride so that G-Man could ride the train. We wanted to take him on the train for fun. We had a 10 minute ride to and from the Bass Pro Shop. We met with a friend and ate lunch. We ended up missing our train back and had to hang for another hour before the next train arrived. During this hour we played on the phone and blew some bubbles (I almost always have bubbles with me). On the trip back we had a complete and utter meltdown. Part due to the heat and part due to no nap. We headed home to bake cupcakes (I did anyways) the littles napped and then we were off again to a friends dinner party. Again, G-man had friends to run crazy wild with and didn't end up in bed until after 9pm.
Not your Martha Stewart Cupcakes but Cupcakes!
He was investigating the truck trying to make it work
Watching Frozen with his buddies
Sunday was his actual Birthday! I decorated the table with Despicable Me Minions and put balloons inside his tent. I made his favorite pancakes...well started to and then had the request for a minion pancake and well...I went with it. We had breakfast and attempted to go to swim class unsuccessfully, but since it was his birthday I didn't push the issue. We then headed off to the park and then home to watch a Redbox pick by G-Man himself. We had lunch and did his cake at home. We ended up having G-man's favorite dinner - Tacos- and he went to bed on time with a smile on his face.

Requested Minion pancake
Don't you wanna know....post on this to come later!

With all of the running around I did find time to really take him in and all of his independent 3 year old self! I cant help but to smile when I think about this because I have always taken time to just really take G-Man in from time to time. I always see an older boy. He always seems so big, so much older, smarter, more independent. I am always in disbelief and complete awe of how our journey began with him and where it has taken us. He is my first and will always have that special spot in my heart. Now, with his new found threedler self comes a whole bunch of adventures. New discoveries and independence like no other, rough lessons, but big hugs and tons of I love yous!

Happy 3rd Birthday G-Man!

Starr turns 1!

Starr turned 1 on Saturday and we celebrated G-Man turning 3 (On June 8th). It was a whirlwind day and I am sad that it has passed us so quickly. Our little Starr has brought our family full circle. She is feisty, sweet, determined, strong willed, tough, silly, and smart.Grayson is such a big boy. He is smart, funny, athletic, energetic, kind, thoughtful, and a bit fiery himself at times, too. He has grown from baby to big brother to independent little man much too quickly.

Perfect Family Photo: G-man never does a forced pose, Starr clearly has water in her ear, Hubster is smiling, Mama is smiling while trying to tickle G-man's knee to obtain a smile if even forced.
We celebrated the little's party at a YMCA Aquatic Center for an afternoon of water play and good company. The adults enjoyed their time and the kids had a blast. It wasn't the perfect day in the sense of a bright sun and no clouds. Nope. It was a perfect day because even though it was overcast, it was warm but not too hot. It was windy but not rainy and chilly. We were surrounded by so much love for our children, for us and our family. Words could never express how blessed and grateful I feel. We were late because it was a 30 minute drive for us to get there and we had too much to do in the morning but despite being late, finding out when I arrived that I had no space left for photos on my phone and a bit flustered setting up I decided to just be and let be on Saturday. (This is a new practice of mine and it does take work!) Though Saturday it was a little easier. With a happy and grateful heart I share with you a glimpse of our perfect day!

I already posted about the invites but in case you missed it check out my previous post.
The pics are what we have to work with now because I haven't received them all from everyone and wasn't able to take any myself. I will probably add/update as I receive others.

Party Decor : Simple
A yellow table cloth on a table provided for the favors and gifts. A bundle of balloons on either side (which all popped by the end of the party). A centerpiece that didn't stay put because of the wind made by a crafty shop on Etsy. I took an empty glass jar and super glued blue ribbon to the top and then tied tweed around the front to spruce it up a little.

Ended up being primarily the cake topper
Used an extra bucket for forks and napkins

The Favors : Sand Buckets
We filled sand buckets with two shovels (one already attached to handle - For $1 btw and one extra placed inside), goldfish snacks, bubbles, a lollipop, beach ball, and fish Food (M&M's). I just filled a little cup with M&M's wrapped with cellophane bag and tied with tweed. I made a little tag that stated it was Fish Food. As previously noted in past posts, I am no Martha Stewart. I have no fancy scrap-booking machine that cuts my paper perfectly. I don't even have a colored printer to have printed the images and wording on my tags. I did everything old school style with my fabulous penmanship and artistry skills. (Well, I think it was fabulous and that's all that counts, right!) I wrote the names of each of the littles on the front of the bucket with a sharpie. Then adhered a little foam fish sticker for extra pizazz! I made my favor tags out of foam bookmarks with foam stickers and foam markers. I simply wrote, "Thanks for Swimming love Grayson & Starr." I decorated them with little foam fish then tied onto the shovel inside the bucket.
Mama's big helper
For the big kids we did a small blue pail with Fish Bait (Gummy Worms) , Fish Food (M & M's) and Swedish Fish
All the goodies inside
The finished favor

 The Food: Pizza and Cake
For the cake my friend Paisley over at An Extra Ingredient did a two tier rainbow cake with bluish ruffles on the outside. We used the centerpiece sticks that wouldn't stay put as toppers and had a #1, #3, & sparkler candles on top and around. The candles didn't stay lit because of Mother Nature blowing her whispers into the universe, but we still sang and let G-man take the action of blowing out the candles. Paisley also did fishy cake pops for the littles. So Cute! We had pizza and cake and that was a wrap.

Taste the colors of the rainbow
The littles were exhausted from swimming
It was a great afternoon with some of our closest friends and family. The kids were exhausted but awoke in time to rip open their gifts. Actually, G-man did all the ripping for both of them. We did Starr's smash cake on Sunday prior to Nana leaving. She screamed the whole time we sang due to no nap. The tears subsided once she dug into that sugary sweet cake from Publix. In my book we had the perfect weekend. Our next adventure will be celebrating G-Man turning 3 this weekend!

Invites are out

I have been planning my littles birthday party now for about a month or longer. The thoughts have been swirling for much longer but actually shopping and compiling the decor etc. just over a month. Starr will be ONE...ONE...I still am having the toughest time wrapping my head around this. Grayson will be 3! At first I refused to have a joint party because I wanted each of them to have their own celebration, but finances would not allow this to happen this year...story of my life. (If only money didn't exist and everyone were on an equal scale. We all were free to imagine our most wildest dreams, dream them and make them a reality!) Wishful thinking , right?? Maybe not?! So, this year we decided to have a joint party and then take Grayson to do something special on his actual Birthday, which is only a week later. For the joint party we decided to do a water party at the YMCA Aquatic center because Grayson has been excelling in his swim class and Starr just loves the water. Initially I was trying to figure out how to do a underwater/rainbow fish theme and a cars theme but later decided to go with a basic underwater theme incorporating the Rainbow Fish into it a little. We are renting a funbrella outside and will decorate to the extent that we possibly can having only an umbrella. We were going to rent the inside room but it didn't justify to pay more for less time to have an inside space when all the littles will want to be outside playing in the water. The party will be simple, sweet, and all the littles will have fun!

I have slowly been making favor tags, gift tags, and recently sent out the invitations. I made the wonderful mistake of putting the address that was listed on the contract from the YMCA on the invites. Well, that was the wrong address. My invites from Pink Pickle Parties, found on Etsy arrive and they look great! I am preparing everything and getting ready to make direction inserts for people when my hubster tells me that the address wasn't the correct address. UGH!!! With not enough time to request another set of invites and pay additional for them, (No fault but my own that the address is incorrect) I went to plan B. Instead of making direction inserts I made inserts with the corrected address. My invites are out with corrected address inserts, an additional copy placed on the back of the invitation (JIC), and a little gift for the littles. My Invites are on their way and thanks to my Hubster, with the correct address. I am no Martha and I don't own a fancy scrapbooking machine but I did the best I could.

What I used for the inserts:
Scrapbooking card stock from Michael's
Different colored construction paper for the fish
Rubber Cement glue
Marker

What I did:
Cut out small rectangular sized boxes from the card stock
My Hubster drew a fish that I used as my stencil to trace
I printed out the corrected address on regular white paper
I cut out the address into oval/circular shapes to fit inside the fish
First, I glued all the fish onto the middle of the card stock then I glued the address to the center of the fish
For final touches I added little circles for fish bubbles with a blue marker

I also taped an extra copy of the address to the back of the invite just in case someone were to grab the card and leave the insert behind. I inserted the insert with some fish stickers (found at the dollar store) and the invites were complete. The only things left are to put together the party favors, order balloons, pick up the cake, arrive and decorate. Let's just take it one step at a time!

11 Months

So hard to get photos of the monthly onesies now: 11 months
The count down has officially begun!!! Our baby Starr is going to be 1 in exactly 29 days!! What?! Why?! When?!

She used to be this little tiny baby and now she is heading into her teenage angst years! Okay.. Maybe not that old yet, but it feels like it will be here in a blink of an eye. Let me pull that thought back because I am NOT prepared for those years.Still her being 1 just befuddles me. She is growing at warp speed and I am grasping at every moment and memory! Our Shinning Starr is:

*Crawling in speeds that only a race car driver can appreciate.
*Eating everything that is put on her plate. (Like her Mama;) )
*Babbling still but after going they this with Grayson, I know not to be worried.
*Indicates what she wants by pointing  or loudly screeching!
*Is tough! She doesn't let Grayson mess with her without a good BITE... Very literally!
She could fall, hit her head, get stuck or hurt in a million different ways but will hardly shed a tear..... I can not say the same for my sweet and sensitive boy.
*Is fearless, adventurous, curious, and instinctive. She will climb on top of anything she can find  and to get out or down will stick out her hands and plop forward onto her hands and face. Either that or squeal for my help.
*Is sweet. She gives hugs and kisses all day!
*Mimicking everything her brother does.
*Knows where her shoes go and makes a very diligent attempt to get them onto her feet.
*Is standing without assistance for longer periods of time.
*Takes 1-4 steps on her own (just started the more than one step Thursday!!!) Yay!!

Caution: Will Bite ANYTHING! Not just food!
All the great artists started with chalk
I still have barely touched her baby book and get very upset every time I go to write inside because I am not in the moment. I am merely going by memory. I still need to finish G-man's too! ( Be gone Mommy guilt... Be Gone!!)

Adorable top from The Striped Fig and photo shot by Melissa Ashley Photography
Though, she is growing faster than I like to admit she is loving, inquisitive, smart, tough and extremely resilient! This little girl of ours will be ONE! Always growing but forever my little mushy!

Discipline!

I have heard so much lately that the Threes are  worse than the Twos. I personally don't think that the Twos are BAD. They are a bit challenging at times but so is being a mother, right? Listen. Being a human being is difficult. Being a Mama is no different. You just add another task and role to your already overwhelming and joyous existence!

BUUUUUTTTTTTT.....Big HUGE FAT GIGANTIC BUT! I am talking "Baby Got Back," kind of But! The up and coming Threes have been testing my patience and then some. For me at least. My number one complaint of parenthood thus far besides the obvious: Time and Lack of Sleep is the big "D" word. Discipline. How? When? Why?
I have probably even posted previously about the challenges I have faced with Discipline. This is how much I personally struggle with it!
I have tried the "Time Out." I chose to call it "Cool Down" instead but the premise was the same. He did something he wasn't supposed to and he sat in his cool down chair for whatever determined amount of time. This was a temporary solution because eventually he realized he has two legs and he was going to use them. After all your "feet were made for walkin'!" He would just get up and walk away. Now, I never threw up my hands and said, "Oh well!"
I would sit him down again and again until he would realize that I meant business. Re-setting the timer over and over each time I had to reposition him.
I have tried "Spanking." Though this method has and will never sit well with me. At first I would "Pow Pow" him on the top of his hand. Then that little bugger would begin to "Pow Pow" me on the hand. Obviously that tactic was doing more harm than good. I then moved to the butt. I would "Pow Pow" him on the butt. He would cry and then so would I. When first doing this whole "Spanking Method" I never EVER did a "Pow Pow" out of anger. I always explained to him that now he was getting a "Pow Pow" and why he was getting it. AND for the record he never received a "Pow Pow" without sufficient warnings ahead of time.(Yes. I started that sentence with AND.) Initially, this worked. I think mostly because he was shocked and surprised. Then I would go and cry quietly in the bathroom feeling awful. Why? I haven't the slightest because my mother would beat my butt with a thick Ass leather belt, cutting board, and or her hand. I even had the pleasure of soap being rubbed onto my tongue before having to repeat a phrase back to her! I am no stranger to the spanking method and I turned out okay.
Anyway, eventually he just started laughing at me when I would "Pow Pow" him. Ultimately he began mimicking the action. Taking it upon his cute little self to "Pow Pow" myself or his little sister! UGH!!! Trying not to laugh in the moment. SoOOOO Hard! See. Being a Mama is difficult!

I currently do the 3 warnings and then take whatever it is away that I can. He doesn't receive said item back until later in the afternoon or the next day. This seems to resonate. I try not to yell or raise my voice because that gets us nowhere fast! I do not tolerate certain things and should he test those specific set boundaries he is to go into the room and calm down for 2 minutes. (I think I read somewhere to do a minute per the age of the child.)
Clip Art from www.clipartbest.com
I am constantly coaching him on better ways to handle his ANGER. As he reaches the Threes it seems to be more and more like a Wolverine or Hulk type RAGE! I tell him that he can count to ten, take deep breaths in and out, and/or go into the room to calm down. Lately, he seems to REALLY be testing me, us, the boundaries and rules set!! It is a constant battle within myself not to just say, "Okay my independent soon-to-be three year old. You Win!"
Then head to the room myself and sob hysterically at what a failure at discipline I have become.
I also feel that if I don't set a more clear guideline for what is and isn't acceptable I will be disciplining him for everything!!! I can't do that. It is exhausting and unfair. So can anyone please tell me what is a Mama to do?

I jokingly have nicknamed my son Dennis after Dennis the Menace because he is sneaky, quick witted, adventurous, smart, and tests all boundaries possible. This nickname is given with nothing but love. I suppose in the end all the advice and self help books are just a guide. You have to figure out what works for you and your family. For all you "Spanking" enthusiast out there, it doesn't work for everyone!!! So as we embark on this adventurous roller coaster ride that is turning three. I am going to remember that patience is what has gotten me this far. That, along with Love, kindness, and understanding. Those are just among a few. My son is my first. He is funny, active, energetic, curious, knowledge seeking, instinctive, loving, kind, generous, thoughtful, adventurous, and 100% a product of what two human beings who love one another can create. Simple perfection all on his own. Imperfectly perfect as we all are.

Tank can be purchased at The Striped Fig and photo shot by Melissa Ashley Photography
He will "grow out" of it and I will figure it out! When all is said and done it is the journey, experience, and life that I get the pleasure of creating, nurturing, watching, guiding, and releasing into the wild world that makes all this struggle with the big "D" word worth it!

Whirlwind Week

My Blog seems to be like a hot new romance...I was REALLY into it at first and then it sort of fizzled. Not entirely so, but that is the only comparison I can think of at the present moment. I have just been wicked busy this last week!

Be warned now...this post will be a bunch of rambling and really unnecessarily LONG...just to catch up a bit!

Sunday thru Wednesday we got to experience life with 3 little's. We house sat and child sat for a friend of mine. I can't say babysat because her daughter is no longer a baby. A 6 year old whom is much like a teenager. Grayson had a blast with her and Starr....well she just enjoyed having room to explore and being able to explore a new environment. Daddy took Grayson to and from school and got to spend time with us. We all got to experience a little taste of living in a house verses a one bedroom apartment. This was nice for all of us. However, I was so HAPPY to be back in our one bedroom apartment, comfy bed, and the place where routine suites us and just makes our life a little easier. Though small, our home. I mean I really enjoyed repeating myself to Grayson to not run up and down the stairs and him almost cracking his skull on the tile floor when running with the girl down the stairs! Fun Times! JUST KIDDING!!! I was super stressed because my little ones just gravitated toward those stairs as though they were a giant piece of candy! So, I did enjoy the time in a house and enjoyed seeing the kids have such a great time. I am happy to help out a friend whenever possible BUT so glad when we stepped foot back in our little space.

Wednesday was back at home and Grayson back to school. He clung to me and would not let go for several minutes. Once I could pry him off I watched as his red rimmed eyes began to fill with tears. I couldn't figure out why he all of a sudden was anxious about school. He LOVES it! Later at pick up another mommy mentioned that he probably was worried about being left at school later for the extended hours, which we did on Monday for the first time ever. Ding.Ding...Tell her what she's won Bob! It was unpacking and washing laundry. Trying to convince Grayson to take a nap......NOT SUCCESSFUL! It was a day of recouping my energy lost the days prior. We did not make swim because Grayson fell asleep. Then it was warp speed and Thursday before I could even take an inhale.
Super G-Man!

Thursday was a walk to the park playground twice. My child aging me 20 years because he decided to do kick jumps on the slide and almost flipped off the top EVERY time. Oh and almost hurt his neck while deciding to be superman on the swing, but leaning too far forward. It was a day of playing and trying to get the kids back into their routine.

He was so still the whole time just waiting to get a lollipop!
BAM! Friday. Grayson had school, a haircut, and then it was our usual Friday night dinner with friends. Amazingly a child gets a haircut and they are immediately transformed into little people. Cray Cray! How could I possibly leave out the 10 minute Raisin in the nose and baby in the toilet episode??!
Picture this. My darling son loves raisins. He apparently decided to shove one up his nose. Wait it gets better. He then proceeded to shove his finger up his nose in an attempt to get it out. At first I thought he was confused (Maybe thought a booger was a raisin..I don't know!) then he kept insisting. I remembered when my sister was younger and she stuck a popcorn kernel up her nose. Though the tactics with my sister took on a lot more quickly than in my situation with my son. Here we are in the bathroom and I am desperately seeking raisin (Got that one?) looking up my son's nostril but can't seem to see anything. I keep coaching him to blow out but with every attempt he first inhales. Panic strikes a little. After about ...oh...10 attempts, Panic hit hard. Here I am thinking the worst. First child to loose consciousness from raisin stuck in nostril! My mind was thinking ridiculous thoughts but panic was deepening with every inhale he took. To make a sticky situation more sticky. In crawls my speed crawler, Starr. She pulls up on the toilet seat and begins to happily splash while I am still trying to coach G-Man to blow OUT not in! I notice her happily splashing in the wonderful world of toilet bowl. (How about that for sensory experiences)?
I decided to show Grayson exactly what I meant with a little more ...power. I blow out a huge snot rocket to show him and say, "blow out like Mommy." He FINALLY does just that and out shoots that darn little raisin. I can finally get my daughter out of the toilet bowl and wash her hands. Panic subsides and all is well.
Leap of Faith
Saturday was here already. We had swim make up from missing class Wednesday. Grayson has been going underwater opening his eyes, doing turns, jumping, and having a blast. This makes me anxious because he is soon going to be swimming on his own. With this new found accomplishment will also come a head strong independence.

Spin Art
Saturday afternoon we headed to G-Man's school for a fun Birthday Bash. The preschool celebrated it's 40th year. They had games, cotton candy, popcorn, raffles, and other fun activities for the kids.
Saturday night was my much needed monthly mom's night out!! We headed to RA Sushi and I actually was daring enough to give Raw sushi a try. Normally I stick with the California rolls and shrimp rolls. I did venture out to try a rainbow roll and Tuna Tataki. I LOVE it!!! Also got a little bold with the Patron Margarita times 2...hehehe! Followed by cake pops and coffee from Starbucks. It was a much needed night out.

Sunday was a rainy yucky day. We made it to church for the first time in FOREVER. Then headed to a local mall that has been revamped. They have a super fancy family room equipped with a lounge chair and TV for nursing with a privacy curtain, a microwave for heating milk or water??? Maybe snacks?! A toilet and fancy Kohl designed sink with air dryer for your hands. The kind that blows your skin off! We walked and then had lunch before heading home to clean and veg out.

Whew! Such a busy week but long gone now. Ready for the week to come. Until Next Time!
