6 Months Already!
I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!! (Little Einsteins) Yup, I watch too much Disney Jr.
My Little...well (Big) girl is 6 months old already!!!! It was just yesterday she was literally being ripped out of my stomach! I feel like I never write about her. I mostly write about my son. Well, he is a tornado of energy and really keeps life exciting so truth is I usually have a lot to write about him because of who he is as an individual. Also, he is my real life Dennis the Menace and as much as I want to yell out, "DENNIS!!!" I honestly love that he is our Dennis the Menace and wouldn't have it any other way.
My daughter on the other hand is just like me. She likes to sit back and observe, take everything in and then run her little mind around it! She gets upset when strangers hold her, as I do when they get too close in the grocery line. She laughs at her brother and Daddy because they offer pure amusement. I too get many chuckles from them. She does not like to be wet or dirty.......well I am just not going to go there! Get your minds out of the Gutter!
She is quiet and reserved taking in all her surroundings. I too love to have some quiet "Me" time when I can. Other times she is loud and boisterous with her cooing and baby babbling. I can get very loud and quite obnoxious at times, mostly when I am excited or angry....(DENNIS!!!!) She really is the Star in our family. Maybe it is because she is a girl, or because she is the baby, or because she is our last? Who knows but we do cherish her just as much as Grayson. Other than any major milestones she may accomplish, she still pretty much eats, wets, poops, sleeps and plays.
One pretty interesting thing she does lately is get on her hands and knees, rocks a bit and then she launches forward. She is almost there with the crawling. She then will just roll around all over to get to where she wants to be and seems more satisfied with this method of movement for now. So funny to watch....I should catch it on video to share. She will hold her weight in a standing position hanging onto the couch but not for too long. She sits up now too, but almost always will topple forward or sideways at one point during the sitting duration. She has started solids too. Boy has this brought on some interesting diaper deposits!!!
The one major thing I love about her is she takes you in. She will really look at you and observe the way you are speaking and moving. She takes her hands and slaps the crap out of your face several times as she removes and slaps her chubby little hands onto another area of your face she is exploring. As Grayson was, she is a happy baby! She wakes up cooing and smiley. She will even lean over as if to reach out for me or to give me a hug with a huge smile on her face. For me, I always try to soak in those moments because I know that those rebellious "I Hate You!" days are much too near for my liking. Even at only 6 months old it is bitter sweet as time steals her away from me.
