The Elf Diaries - Day 1

I arrived to the Lopez Family home on November 29th, 2013. It was afternoon time right before Nap Time. It was a long journey from the North Pole to Florida. I had to shed some layers on the way because .......let's just say, I'm not in the North Pole anymore! It is a nice and warm place, a change from where I reside year long at the Pole. When I arrived I was eagerly awaiting my introduction to the Lopez boy, Grayson....his name is quite unique. Santa himself was informing me of his interest in his name. I met Mrs. Lopez right from the start and was greeted warmly and given proper accommodations by her. Then, I got to meet Grayson.

He was just as excited and amused as I was. He quickly gave me a name and my adoption was complete! He named me Cars, after his favorite Movie. He was very interested in telling me right away what he hopes to receive from Mr. Claus.
"A Big Tow Mater and Big McQueen!"
I chuckled to myself because if I know Mr. Claus..he is very much aware of this already, but I have reported accordingly.
During my first 24 hours I watched Grayson have a few....rocky moments, but all in all he is a very Happy and extremely Energetic boy. I am sure Santa gets great pleasure watching him literally bounce from activity to activity.
Grayson really has a fondness for this movie, Cars and has a bunch of the action figures as well. It seems he never tires of watching it and has even memorized the movie.
I found myself mesmerized as well and later when I returned from my trip back to the North Pole to complete my official Elf duties for Santa. I indulged in some leisurely reading to find out some history on the name I was given.
I found that Cars is quite an interesting story with some incredible speed, friendship, and important lessons to be learned.

My first 24 hours were incredible and I am so excited at what my journey will bring this Holiday Season. The Lopez family is very sweet, kind, and loving. They are a Happy bunch and it warms my twinkly Elfie toes to be able to be a part of their family this Holiday Season.
And so again I must fly with my magic Elf dust to the North Pole to report for duty. Santa awaits and much is to be done but tomorrow I'll play again in my new little home.

Here I am researching where my name came from
