The Elf Diaries - Day 25

Today is my last day here with Grayson and his family. I wanted to leave him a note with the gifts I left for him and his sister. I had so much fun with him and during my stay with the Lopez family. I am really sad to leave but cant wait until my return next year! I know that things will be different but hopefully Grayson will remember me. Maybe he will give me a new name??? Not that I  have anything against Cars.

Today, I helped clean the house and bake a ginger bread cookie. Also, made cookies for Santa. I know he will love them, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, Yummy! They will be leaving fruit snacks and reindeer food for the reindeer. I know the reindeer will appreciate that!

They wrapped the last of their gifts and packaged the homemade ornaments Grayson and his Mommy made for the family, before heading to his Aunts house.
Great Elf socks!  The gathering at his aunts house was quite interesting and large. so many gifts and people...and FOOD! They opened their gifts on the night before Christmas. It was very strange indeed!! Grayson had a blast and will sleep well tonight for sure. This is good because Santa will be here tonight and when he arrives I will go with him to help deliver gifts.

Thank you Lopez family, I will miss you all but most of all I will miss Grayson!

Until next year,

The Elf Diaries - Day 24

This morning when I returned from the North Pole I wanted to capture some memories. I got all my new friends that I have met since staying with Grayson and took a photo of them by the Christmas Tree. This was the tree that almost never made it here. I helped put the lights up after all. I am beginning to get a little sad.

Today I watched Grayson play inside with his new McQueen Car. He has been sick and I have watched his eyes still light up with happiness when he plays with certain toys or paints with his Mommy. Every night since I have been here he is sure to tell me Good Night and reminded me to tell Santa about a Big McQueen and Tow-mater. He is a little obsessed I'd say but I know he will outgrow this Cars phase and be into something entirely different next year. It is just a shame I will miss most of his changes.

Tomorrow will be my very last day here with Grayson and his family. Tonight before I head to the North Pole to wrap things up before Santa's big night, I plan on leaving Grayson and his Sister's surprise.

Only 2 more days until Santa will be here!!!

The Elf Diaries - Day 23

Today,  Mrs. Lopez, Grayson and I headed out for a few hours this morning. Grayson bought a new Cars toy at the Toy Store! A remote Control McQueen which he hasn't put down yet! He did help pay for it with the five dollars his grandma gave him a week ago.

After we headed to their favorite Donut Shop, Mojo Donuts! This place is crazy! They have snickers donuts, Guava and cheese ( Mrs. Lopez's Fave), bacon, sprinkled ( Grayson's fave), and so many more flavors. The donuts look amazing and from feedback I received from Grayson, taste just as good as they look!!

After our trip it was a low key day. I just hung out on the baby's activity gym while Grayson played, and his Mommy did some wrapping. As I hung I really started to think about all the fun I have had with my family and how I will miss them so! Tomorrow I will leave my surprise for them!!

The North Pole is crazy just as it is every year with only days before Santa takes flight. All the reindeer are now on strict rest orders to save their energy for the Big Night. I have stocked little food pouches for each of them to take along with them on their journey. The wrapping is being done at warp speed, which for us elves means the big Magic is being pulled out. We do have only days left to finish! Candy Canes have been packaged neatly and ready to go out as well. Though most tasks are accomplished or getting about finished there is still no time for rest!

The Elf Diaires- Day 22

Today was another fun Day! Mrs. Lopez was really lucky at her community Holiday Brinch and won a gift for Starr, Grayson, and herself!!!! They finished their Holiday shopping today and then headed to their favorite burger place before heading out to see the last Christmas lights this season.
The lights were nice but nothing compared to the ones we saw last night!

I  am sad but excited that Chrisas is almost here!!! I have enjoyed my stay so much and hope that Grayson likes my gifts I leave him Christmas Eve!!

The Elf Diaries- Day 21

Today was eventful. I took a nice bike ride around Grayson's neighborhood. Then we took a long car ride. Following the car ride we went to an awesome park. It had a train and a huge playground. Grayson had a blast running around.

When we returned home we headed out to look at some Christmas lights. This house was crazy. It was just like my Elf village and really took me back home. We finished with a dancing light show. Down the street from the amazing house with all the lights was another neighbor who does a dancing light display every year at their home but moved to a local church. This.Was. Amazing! I am going to ask Santa if we could do something like this!!!

So much Fun!

Count down is winding down!

The Elf Diaries- Day 20

I am trying my best not to get sick from the little kiddies in this household. It is in my best interest to try anything I can to keep my immune system strong especially because Santa is depending on me!

Today Grayson made two ornaments special for his Daddy. Baby Starr was really fussy again. Her bottom teeth are about to cut the gums. That has got to be painful!

In the North Pole the presents are stacking and stacking high. Total present count as of last night was 85 million and we still have many more to prepare!!! The elves are all working very hard to complete their quotas this year.

The children are sleeping and I am going to use my Elf magic to fly to the North Pole to help the snow elves shovel snow out of the way of the reindeer stalls and Santa's main entrance into the workshop.

The weather in Florida has been getting a  little chilly and makes me a little home sick for my cottage at the North Pole.

5 More Days!

The Elf Diaries- Day 18

I love pizza!!!! I really couldn't get enough yesterday!!

Today was great because I got to nap while Mrs. Lopez and baby Starr ran errands this morning. It has been extremely busy at the North Pole and our shifts are getting heavier and heavier as we approach Christmas Day.
When Grayson got home from school it was straight to nap and then lunch. This was out of usual, he must have been extra sleepy today!

I keep starring at the tree and hope that soon it will be decorated. I really shouldn't complain as I was lucky enough to have a home this year and as Santa reminded me,"Not every Elf gets this opportunity!" I just really want to use my magic and take care of it all for them. Only problem is I don't have clearance for that! I only have the clearance to get to the North Pole and back plus a few little things I have already asked approval for.
Sometimes...... I just... Wish....there were more magic to give away!!

I really am thinking about giving this Yoga thing a try.

The Elf Diaries- Day 17

Such progress this weekend from my Family! It only took them 17 precious Christmas Holiday Days to get a tree, but Dancing Twinkle Toes, they FINALLY did!

My family was busy today cleaning and making room for their tree! We ordered Pizza for lunch which is amazing by the way!! Then we finished off with a revisit to Bethlehem! This was a very interesting and humbling experience. It was so great to see a reinactment of what the Christmas Holiday is truly about. Grayson enjoyed the whole experience while baby Starr dozed in and out of her sleep slumber.

I'd say on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being completely prepared for Christmas, my family is coming swiftly in on a 4 scale!

The North Pole is ringing and Christmas Bells are Jinging!

The Elf Diaries- Day 16

Day 16 was crazy busy!!! I used some magic and got all of the clothes folded for Mrs. Lopez. I just wanted to save her some time today.

We went to brunch with a friend and Grayson received a really cool Cars rug with Mater and McQueen from his Mommy's friend Jennifer. Starr even got some gifts too!

After, yummy food at First Watch and surprise gifts we all headed to go take photos with Santa!!! This was a lot of fun for Grayson and Starr! Here Grayson met with another friend of his.

We returned home to nap for a bit before leaving again to go see Turbo in the park only to have it cancelled. However, Grayson and his buddy Ethan did not let this ruin their night. They played in the open field for 30-45 minutes. Then, my favorite part of the evening!!!! We went to go see some beautifully displayed Christmas lights which really captured the season. This house had Gingerbread men, trains, Santa's workshop, candy canes, music and so much more!! It was the end to a perfect day!

Grayson and Starr also received some cute warm sweaters from their friend, Ethan. It was a very nice surprise!

Today was filled with excitement, friends, surprise gifts and Holiday Cheer, (the later being my favorite!!)

Must go.... Lots of work still to be done at the North Pole!

The Elf Diaries- Day 14

Day 14 and this family still has no tree!!! I am very close to asking Santa if we can just arrange a little Christmas miracle!!

Grayson  finished painting his salt dough ornaments today! He even helped make cookies for his school holiday show tomorrow. He was so helpful today. He helped put laundry away again and got dressed all by himself. He even used his Cars potty twice today to go pee...and just because he wanted to!!!

He will be getting a few extra goodies from me in the weeks to come!

Candy canes are all set and packaged at the North Pole. You would really be surprised by all the flavors.... We have a good friend, Wonka, help us in creating some fun new flavors. It really takes some special magic to make a candy cane so perfect with their stripes and tasty flavors...... But an Elf can never give away the secret recipe! After all us Elves are sworn into secrecy from the time we accept our positions with Santa.

Let the lights shine and the stars twinkle.

The Elf Diaries- Day 13

Day 13 and I could not be happier! I decided to help Grayson pack his snack for preschool today. He was super excited to see me this morning and laughed saying, "eat, mommy, eat!"

North Pole business is busy as ever this time of year. I packaged and wrapped over 500 gifts last night. Being an Elf has it's advantages you know ...... Special Elf magic!

I overheard tonight they will finally be getting a tree.....soooo excited!

The Elf Diaries- Day 12

Just pumping up before our day today!
Boy am I glad that I did because that Grayson has more energy than speedy the Elf!
My adventures today included going to the doctor with the kids. Baby Starr had shots today and she was a trooper. I stuck myself with a sharp piece of a broken candy cane once and admittedly cried.
Back at the North Pole the Elves are busy helping Santa make this years Christmas season spectacular! They are making, packing, and wrapping millions of toys! I love wrapping!! The bows and ribbons and paper...possibilities endless!!!

A lot of Jolly with my Holly!

The Elf Diaries- Day 11

When I got back from the North Pole, boy was I famished! I went diving into a box of Cheerios to grab a quick bite before my day started.

It really is getting close and this family is really starting to worry me!!! Still no Christmas tree or lights..... I know Santa is all knowing but the lights really help him see better. Let's be honest... He is not getting any younger and his eyes aren't what they used to be!

If this family doesn't get a jump on things I am going to have to do an Elf wiggle and a Jiggle and spread some twinkle toe magic all around to get some things done around here!

The Elf Diaries- Day 10

One thing I know for sure is when you are small you can't let that get in your way of accomplishing BIG things. Today I decided to Shoe Rack Climb, seeing as there are no mountains near by, this was just as exciting!

It helped me with the start of my day. Boy last night was rough! One of the Elf's got caught up in a bow and had to be cut out. It was all very quick.

Grayson was very energetic today despite not sleeping very well last night. He had a 45 minute Night Terror!  He was screaming and looked so scared, but so did his Mommy and Daddy!

My report to Santa was good as it normally is. Santa is very pleased with Grayson! He just may get the extra toys he asked for the other night: a Moon Mater and Heavy Metal Mater like the ones in his Tow Mater Tales movie.

Almost time for Grayson's Christmas surprises from me!! I can hardly wait! Santa gave me permission to give Grayson a few extra surprises early.

Much to do with the season almost over.

The Elf Diaries- Day 9

Today I just wanted to try out this cool seat. It is the coolest seat in the house.
I could sit here all day but too much work to be done.

Day 9 and still having fun!! Grayson and his daddy went to the park today and played some soccer. Graysons's cheeks were more red when he got home than mine after walking in on Santa in the bathroom last year!

It seems as though Santa has listened to Grayson's wish for this year but we still have time to see whether Grayson will officially be on Santa's nice list. All bets are yes!

To all a good night,

Cars the Elf

The Elf Diaries - Day 8

Faaalalalalalalalaaaaaaaa.

This morning I felt like kicking back and fishing with an Elf's best friend, Pluto. We had some luck catching fish and had a good time.

Today was so exciting because Grayson got to see Santa at his school today! He took a class photo with him as well and it was super exciting for all the kiddies!!!

That Santa, I tell you, has more magic up his sleeve than that Houdini ever did! Let's just say I'm partial to the big guy in the red suit!

Only 18 More Days until Christmas. I am soooooo excited!!!

Hmmmmmm. What to do when I get back from Santa Duty??? And I'm Off, Official Christmas business to attend to!

Until Tomorrow,

The Elf Diaries - Day 7

I began my 7th day here with a total Jam Session!!

I work hard and play hard. It was great fun being lead vocal. Minnie was nice enough to play the keyboard while paws slammed it on the guitar and rabbit beat the drums like a bunny high from carrot juice!

It was the perfect start to a day filled with busy activities. Grayson and his mommy made Ornaments for Christmas.....out of flour, salt, and dough. It was a lot of fun to watch them roll...with a flower vase...and cut out ornaments!!!! I am so excited that the festivities are alive in my home this season...ohhhh...I can't wait!!!

All of us got our wiggles out and danced this afternoon too. Grayson watched Cars again,  (I am starting to have this movie memorized). He ate all of his green beans at dinner and was playing with his sister. It was a productive day:)

North Pole news:
Santa hasn't been feeling well. We are all staying positive because if he were to get sick for Christmas.... Well that would be a disaster!! Mrs. Claus says that he needs to stop eating so many sweets.

The reindeer have been well taken care of and up to their usual games. I am so grateful I no longer have reindeer duty. Whew... I was moved up to candy and wrapping and soooo thankful. Those reindeer can be trouble!

To all a good night!

The Elf Diaries- Day 6

I started my morning adventurous by Bungee jumping! What a rush!! I feel it cleared my head and helped me get ready for today's adventures.

Grayson awoke early and ready to play. He did his normal morning routine activities and then went straight for his cars. He then ate another breakfast before dancing on the couch. His mommy was kind enough to remove the cushions so that he wouldn't hurt himself. He danced and played with his cars until it was time for school.

While Grayson was at school his mommy rearrangeda the furniture to make room for the Christmas tree. Still no sign of one but we are getting closer. A spot has been cleared and designated tree worthy.

After school Grayson ate lunch and then napped. He awoke cheerful and ready to play. He played with his play doh and then a small toy plane. It was soon time to go pick up his daddy from work he brought his plane along for the ride. When the window was down he held his plane in the wind and shouted happily to his mommy, "flying mommy!"

Oh I never will grow tired of seeing the excitement in kids eyes when they are happy!

Once daddy was picked up we headed to the grocery store. Oh boy! There were isles of food that seemed to stretch to the moon and back. I particularly loved the section with the yogurt. Nice and cool. Reminded me of home:)

Tonight, I must report to Santa about all the great things that happened today.
Special note: Grayson used his manners today, often.
We have much work to do at the North Pole: stockings, gifts, wrapping, sweets, ornaments, reindeer duties, etc.

What a wonderful season!

A little magic goes a long way. And I'm off !

The Elf Diaries- Day 5

Today was a fun day! I got to ride the train when I got back from the North
Pole. The zoo keeper was kind enough to let me drive. The koala and tiger joined as well. It was much fun!
It was more fun to see Grayson's eyes light up in amazement when he saw I was driving the train.
Oh working for Santa has many perks and magic is indeed the best one. It only takes me moments, seconds even to travel back to the North Pole every night. However, sometimes the best magic is the magic created in a child's eyes when filled with wonderment. What is it that the people say ... Priceless?

Today Grayson and his Mommy finally started decorating! I was beginning to worry. With Christmas being right around the corner and all. They made a snowman and a Santa (looks very similar but not exact.) They even decorated the glass door with snowflakes, Santa, and a snowman! I watched Grayson tell the decorative Santa and snowman what he wishes for this year! Still the same- a big Tow Mater and big lightening McQueen.
Gotta give it to him. The kid knows what he wants.

Santa will be so pleased to hear about the festive decorations tonight... Speaking of which. I must get a move on. To the North Pole. There is lots to be done!

The Elf Diaries - Day 4

What a Day! It was a very busy day after my Tea Party. I watched his Mommy do the dishes and clean up the house a bit. I talked some with Minnie about the Tea Party earlier and thanked her for her company. Grayson had school and was gone for the morning. When Grayson got home from school he ate lunch and then it was story time before he and I took a nap. His mommy read him , Horton Hears a Who, which I had to read later because I fell asleep during the first reading. After his nap...and mine,  he helped his Mommy clean up his toys, and fold the laundry that was piled on the couch! I could barely wait to tell Santa!

Back at the North Pole things literally got sticky. The candy cane machine broke and melted Candy Canes were everywhere in the shop. It took nearly all night to repair the machine and clean up the mess. One good thing is I will smell Minty fresh tomorrow. I do love the smell of peppermint.

Reading Horton Hears a Who
